With 15 years in one of the world's most successful digital agencies and decades of combined experience, we impart this knowledge by always applying best practice to what we do. Partnership

Having first met at Reigate Art College in 1992, Mark and Rich have worked together in some shape or form for over three decades. They now embark on their next chapter together, launching Uncle 2.0 and combine their complimentary skills and experience to deliver powerful results for their clients.

After studying Graphic Design at Reigate Art College and Typography at the London College of Printing (now LCC), Mark spent the next eight years in London as a graphic designer, collaborating with incredible people along the way.

In 2004 Mark went freelance to get a broader understanding of the industry and to learn how to run his own business. In 2007 Uncle was born, and quickly started to grow.

In 2010 Uncle was acquired by Jellyfish where Mark became CCO and built creative teams across three continents for the business.

Strategy Director

After studying Graphic Design at the Reigate School of Art & Design, Rich spent 15 years working as a  designer and studio manager for brand, creative, production and experiential agencies in London and Melbourne.

In 2008 Rich joined Mark at Uncle, driving the commercial growth of the agency, and moving into leading creative services and digital project delivery globally for Jellyfish through to 2013.

After leaving Jellyfish, Rich further honed his strategic skills with a decade spent working in leading agencies, and client-side driving growth for start-up and scale-up businesses.

Our story

The Uncle story started many years ago. We’ve accomplished a lot and been on an incredible journey. The new look Uncle is the result of decades of experience combined with a focus on doing what we love for clients we care about.

2007

2007

Uncle was born

Founded on a belief that creativity is the key to problem solving and a passion to deliver impact through the application of solid design, creative thinking and great client relationships.

2008

Continued growth

Rich joined the fold and Uncle continued the hard work to build a reputation for quality work - steadily winning new clients both directly and through a newly formed partnership with Jellyfish.

2010

Uncle acquired by Jellyfish

As Jellyfish moved from a specialist PPC agency to an integrated digital offering, Uncle was acquired to join the group. The acquisition provided an opportunity to deliver creative services to a larger portfolio, applying creativity across an increasing number of marketing channels.

2011-2013

Building creative services

As Jellyfish grew, so did creative services. The team grew to include an incredible group of specialist designers, developers and content creators, working to support global client campaigns.

2014-2023

Out in the wild

In 2014 Mark moved into Global Facilities for the Jellyfish Group, driving the creation of some incredible work space around the world. Rich made a move into digital strategy, working at a series of creative agencies, startups and scale-up brands in B2B and DTC sectors.

2024

Uncle 2.0 launch

The time felt right for Mark and Richard to re-establish a working partnership that began over 30 years ago. With an opportunity to focus on the work we love doing, Uncle 2.0 combines a passion for creativity with a drive to deliver strategic results.
